We helped a family of self-tan brands increase YoY sales, leaving competitors in the shade

We ran a category-wide competitor audit for a stable of three self-tan brands, the results of which informed an extensive campaign to help them maximise Amazon opportunities and drive incrementality. We kicked things off with a complete Amazon marketing strategy and catalogue optimisation, before delivering best-in-class product page wireframes and master designs the brand teams could then track across multiple SKUs. We also launched brand stores to make it easier for customers to find the perfect product for their needs and skin type.

Working collaboratively with the client, we looked at other consumer journey touchpoints, advising how the brands could make best use of their content and budgets to drive maximum awareness and sales. And to help boost search, we collated an extensive list of additional Amazon SEO keywords, which we added to the backend to help with the Amazon algorithm.

To help drive success in such a fiercely competitive category, our plan extended to include DSP to help increase sales on Amazon from the top of the funnel, and encourage exploration and conversion lower down later in our campaign. This, together with our always-on tactics across both search and display, delivered incredible results in our first year of partnership.

The results we have delivered span all three of the self-tan brands, helping each individual account achieve growth in the UK. But the success isn’t just at brand level. Our client is actually growing the sunless category, leading new-to-brand acquisition by 72.68% vs 55.54% (competitor set). And that’s just in the UK. We’re now looking to help them mirror that success across global markets.
